Dora Pines is conveniently located in Mount Dora, Florida, about 25 miles Northwest of Orlando, within easy driving distance
of Daytona Speedway, Disney World, the Space Center, Universal Studios, and numerous other Central Florida attractions and
parks. Mount Dora is well known as a leading cultural, artistic and antique center in Florida.
Dora Pines consists of about 150 homes, with some lots still available for development. This active senior park has a
large community center (the Club House); a smaller center for club meetings and gatherings (the Hospitality House); a large
swimming pool; shuffleboard courts; picnic area; and horseshoe pits. All facilities are available for resident's use without
charge. Pot luck suppers, pancake breakfasts, as well as special dinners are presented regularly. A monthly newsletter and
events calandar helps keep residents informed of park news and upcomming events.
We are financially sound and
debt free. A low monthly fee defrays all costs for upkeep and improvements in the Park. Approximately half of the residents
are "snowbirds."
The Park offers a full schedule of activities for interested residents, including the Activities Club, Women's
Club, Men's Club, Craft Clubs, as well as scheduled card games (poker, bridge, euchre, and pinochle), billiards, and bingo.
A well maintained library with a lifetimes worth of reading is located in the Club House. Numerous golf courses, shopping
centers, and other entertainment facilities are located nearby. Lake County, where Dora Pines is located, is famous for its
thousands of lakes, and its many boat launches for fishing or pleasure boating.
